My 8 x 7 Home observatory is 5 years old now and has thrived in spite of winter storms, beast from the east, hurricane Ophelia and all the rest! The quality is absolutely superb and the productivity boost has allowed me to more than quadruple the amount of observing time. Worth every penny!

I live in a area of special interest and needed a good looking observatory to nestle into a pretty garden. I was resigned to build / adapt an existing building myself, until I came across HO-UK. After a few discussions I chose the hexagonal opening roof observatory. The position also required full planning permission, Ho-UK provided details for the application & Nathan even helped by speaking directly to the planners and providing additional drawings and photographs. When the day came to install, both Nathan & Gareth did a brilliant job erecting a high quality and technically challenging design. It all works perfectly & I can thoroughly recommend HO-UK for their designs, quality and support on their products.

My observatory design was modified to fit a pod/warm room into my limited usable garden space and the resulting layout is perfect.

It has allowed me to maximise those rare clear nights by being up and imaging in minutes - also in comfort.

The design features are all based on experience and solid functionality but the aesthetics are not compromised.

The build is by skilled craftsmen with intelligent thought and attention to details.

I also had the pad and pier fitted, everything is dead solid and stable.

Before contacting 'Home Observatory UK' I was on the verge of starting to build my own observatory - Glad I didn't!

The guys set up a 9ftx9ft observatory for me about 3 years ago. It is far nicer that the condensation filled Skyshed Pod I had used previously. A very nice product.

The guys worked like stink on the shortest day of the year from 7:30am to 7pm.

If I ever need another shed I know where I am going.

Just had a 7 x 6 observatory completed and have to say I am 100% delighted with the finish. Superb pier built exactly to my requirements - very sturdy indeed and very clean and attractive finish. As Julie and Gareth were travelling to within 10 miles of my location they kindly agreed to meet up and save my delivery cost. Home Observatory UK installed my run-off observatory at the beginning of April. I’m very impressed with both the quality of the product and of the installation carried out by Gareth and Nathan, and would highly recommend anyone with an interest to commit to a purchase.
The observatory has been put to use and has been a pleasure to use. Thermal equilibrium of the telescope and surroundings are rapidly achieved and to say that the observatory structure is a “solid” construction is an understatement. It’s been great to spend a few hours imaging the Moon without worrying about an upcoming shower or pesky wind!

I have had my obsy for about 9 months. It has changed my life. It is beautifully constructed and operates smoothly. The workmanship is excellent. I added automation to mine and it allows me all-night operation without losing sleep. If I move house I will be buying another one without a doubt. It is so much more convenient than dome based designs.

With quite dark skies in our part of Holland we wanted a permanent space & set-up for our telescopes. We’ve investigated various options from various suppliers, but in the end Home Observatory UK had the best product for our needs at a good price. In June 2015 the obsy was built in our garden to a very high standard. The men worked so hard during very hot weather to get the obsy finished. We are very pleased with the result! Perfect! Later there were some problems with parts suppliers from pier- and mount adaptor and shipping problems, which, only due to the excellent service from Home Observatory UK, were solved in the end. I engaged HOUK to build me a 9x9 Roll Off Observatory. The guys built and installed it with minimum of fuss. They are superb craftsman and cabinet builders and the quality of the finished structure is astonishing. This is no converted shed, it is a full blown building in every way. Home Observatories UK were contacted and visited by SAstroS, impressing us with the quality of their workmanship and willingness to make an Observatory strictly to our specifications throughout all stages of the build. They constructed the whole thing in their workshop then took it apart, packed and despatched it from Norwich to Sark following the container to erect the Observatory on-site. The small, friendly team are highly professional and have made us something to be proud of.

The build quality of these observatories is excellent. As a result my observatory does not look out of place in our garden as it is far more than a garden shed with a run-off roof. You can tell that Gareth used to be a cabinet maker with a good attention to detail. The observatories are assembled at HOMEOBSERVATORIES before being dismantled to ensure that everything fits and nothing is missing when it is delivered. Julie does an excellent job in keeping you up to date with progress on the observatory build at base and Gareth and his mate are first rate in assembling the observatory. And such friendly people. I cannot recommend them and their observatories more highly.

After searching for many years and even contemplating making my own observatory, along came just what I had been looking for. It is built to a very high standard, erected with no problems and operates to perfection. Its fantastic. I have installed my Celestron 11inch, desk and two chairs for colleagues, laptop etc and installed first level storage. Great product, great people, helpful and you get what it says on the tin. When i decided to invest in a sliding roof observatory i considered a few companies, because i needed to get it right considering the cost. After due consideration i went for HOMEOBSERVATORYS, i never looked back, Julie rang and asked me what i required for my observatory , sizes , what side drop i required etc, plus i ordered a pier which was made to my measurements, during there construction of my ob- i was kept inform of what was going on through JULIE. Six weeks later it arrived, Gareth and Ray left home at 2am arriving at 8am ,they started work straight away without even a cup of tea ( which i made for them later ) they both worked tirelessly throughout a very long cold day. The materials used in construction is the best , the black tiled roof finished the job very nicely. I must say Gareth and Ray are two of nicest people i have meet, nothing was too much trouble , when i asked them to make a little alteration for me, i have no hesitation in recommending company to any body, once again many thanks to you all for what you did for me.
